A-Plus® Concrete Bond is a premium heavy-duty Acrylic polymer based cement modifier formulated for positive side waterproofing. It exhibits excellent adhesion and cures to become an integral part of the concrete, thus providing a strong and durable, UV resistant, impenetrable waterproofing membrane that prevents water seepage and reinforces concrete strength. It is highly recommended for both horizontal and vertical surfaces like roof decks, basements, bathroom floorings, firewalls, water tanks, and many more.

General Application Procedure for Normal Substrates with No Damage:

1. Thoroughly clean the surface prior to application. Pre-wet surface with water to improve adhesion.
2. Prepare a lump-free slurry of cement by mixing A-Plus® Concrete Bond with portland cement at ratio: 1-Ltr to 1-Kg. Pot life of mixture is approximately 4 hours after mixing.
3. Apply first coat mixture using stiff brush. Succeeding coats may be applied using a heavy roller. Repeat up to 3-4 number of coats by brush or roller in an opposite application direction. If necessary, apply fiber mesh matting in-between coats.  Allow 2-3 hours drying in-between coats. Allow to cure at least 12-24 hours before subjecting to water flooding test or before applying paint or concrete topping.

Procedure for Damaged Substrates (with cracks and other surface imperfections):

1. Mix A-Plus® Concrete Bond with portland cement at ratio: 1-Ltr to 3-Kg. The ratio can be varied slightly to achieve desired consistency. Mix thoroughly until a smooth consistency is achieved. Pot life of mixture is approximately 4 hours after mixing.
2. Apply the mixture on the affected areas using a trowel or putty knife. Let cure for 2 hours before applying succeeding coats of A-Plus® Concrete Bond cement slurry.
3. If higher strength repair is required, apply a mixture of A-Plus Procrete® High Viscosity Construction Epoxy for patching larger-sized concrete imperfections covering smaller areas.
4. After patching surface imperfections, apply normal cement slurry of A-Plus® Concrete Bond and portland cement with ratio: 1-Ltr to 1-Kg using a stiff brush and heavy roller.

Suggested Painting System on Concrete Surfaces:

1. Waterproofing: For positive side waterproofing on areas such as Firewalls, Bathroom, Roofdecks, Basements, etc., apply 3-4 coats of a mixture of A-Plus® Concrete Bond with portland cement at 1-Ltr to 1-Kg ratio.
2. Putty: Repair all minor cracks and surface imperfections with A-Plus® Concrete Putty or A-Plus Acmelux® Cast. For a luxuriously smooth finish, apply A-Plus® Skim Coat 501/503.
3. Primer-Sealer: Observe proper concrete curing schedule. Apply 1-2 coats of A-Plus® Concrete Sealer or A-Plus Acmelux® Penetrating Sealer using either brush or roller.
4. Topcoat: Apply 2-3 coats of your choice color of A-Plus All Weather® Paint or A-Plus Acmelux® Topcoat Paint. Allow 2-3 hours drying time between each coat.

Surface to be painted must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants.

1. For fresh concrete, apply at least 2 coats of A-Plus® Concrete Sealer.
2. Structural defects like leaks and all sources of internal water pressure must be thoroughly sealed and repaired to prevent membrane damage.
3. Avoid painting under extreme environmental conditions and/or bad weather conditions.
4. Mix well before using.

Principal Uses: Highly recommended for both horizontal and vertical surfaces like Firewalls, Roof decks, Balconies, Basements, Bathroom Floorings, Water Tanks, Gutters, Downspouts, and many more.

Coverage: 8-12 sqm per gallon / coat *Depending on surface texture and porosity

Mixing Ratio: 1-Ltr to 1-Kg Portland cement

Surface Dry: 2hrs

Recoat Interval: 2 – 3 hrs (Allow to dry for at least overnight before painting)

Dry Through: Overnight

Thinning: If necessary, thin with water to adjust desired consistency.
