Painting Procedure on Wooden Substrates:
- Primer: Apply at least 2 coats of A-Plus® Flatwall Enamel White as primer.
- Putty: Repair cracks and other surface imperfections with A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler or A-Plus® Enamel Glazing Putty White.
- Topcoat: Apply 2-3 coats of your choice color of A-Plus® Quick Drying Enamel Paint. Allow at least 6-8 hours drying time between each coat.
Painting Procedure on Metal Substrates:
- If previously painted, strip off all loose and chalking paint. If rust is present, apply A-Plus® Rust Converter first. Sand with large grit sandpaper to roughen surface.
- Primer: Un-Galvanized or rusted metal substrates should be pre-painted with at least 2 coats of a premium quality anti-corrosive metal primer such as A-Plus® Metal Primer Red Oxide or Glazer Galva-Plus® Epoxy Primer.
- Topcoat: Apply 2-3 coats of your choice color of A-Plus® Quick Drying Enamel Paint. Allow at least 6-8 hours drying time between each coat.
General Instructions:
- Surface to be painted must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants.
- For bare surfaces, sand with large grit sandpaper to enhance paint adhesion.
- If previously painted, strip off all loose and chalking paint with A-Plus Supertanggal® Paint Remover.
- Mix well before using.
For Wooden Surfaces:
- Surface to be painted must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any contaminants.
- Hammer nail holes and sand any surface defects with large grit sandpaper.
- Repair cracks and other surface imperfections with A-Plus® Fast-Drying Plastic Wood Filler or A-Plus® Enamel Glazing Putty White.
- Avoid painting under extreme environmental conditions and/or bad weather conditions.
For Metal Surfaces:
- Remove dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax and other foreign matter using a rag soaked in paint thinner.
- For new Galvanized Iron, wipe clean with paint thinner before sanding surface to enhance paint adhesion. For rusty metal surfaces, wire brush or strip affected areas after applying A-Plus® Rust Converter. Let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes before washing off surface thoroughly with water. Let dry before applying primer.
- Apply a premium quality metal primer such as A-Plus® Metal Primer or Glazer Galva-Plus® Epoxy Primer immediately upon drying of the surface before rust sets in.
